Safety Systems provide final disconnecting means for the PV array in front of the inverter input. Safety Systems are available in two configurations—Multiple Disconnect Safety Systems (MDSS) and Circuit Breaker Safety Systems (CBSS). The MDSS provides multiple load-break disconnects for isolation of inverter fuses. The CBSS provides both overcurrent protection and DC disconnect through the use of DC circuit breakers.
