A "Capaciformer" is a Potential Equipment Transformers (PET) with a coupling capacitor across the H1 and X1 terminals. These are used where a high frequency communication and/or telemetry signal sent through the medium voltage, 50 or 60 HZ power line. The transformers provides 120 or 240 volt, 60 HZ station power.
