Triad Magnetics’ autotransformer power transformers are available in single winding step-up transformer models, in which the primary coil is a fraction of the entire winding, and step-down transformer models, in which the secondary coil is a fraction of the entire winding. Standard double wound power transformers feature isolated primary and secondary coils, so all power transfer is conducted by induction.
