A.A.G. Stucchi's lampholders are made to withstand the high temperatures produced by the lamps (300°C at the pinched ends and 600°C in the centre of the lamp). For this purpose appropriate materials and wires have been selected and the contact resistance reduced by the use of copper contacts with silver tips.
